Baltimore Food and Faith, a Project of the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future
Baltimore Food & Faith has a large focus on partnering with the faith community to educate people about the environmental consequences (e.g., air pollution, water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, etc.) that result from our current system of industrial agriculture. We offer suggestions for individuals, faith-based schools and congregations for how to reduce their ecological impact via food choices (e.g., buy local, buy organic, buy fair-trade, etc.). We also provide financial and technical assistance to faith communities and faith based schools who wish to plant gardens and take field trips.

Armstrong Studio Associates
Armstrong Studios is a traditional and digital photography studio with a passion for the the environment. In 2005 we renovated an old barn using all low impact materials. We reclaimed and reused as much of the old timber and building materials that we could. We installed solar panels to heat water that warms the radiant floor. That same floor is cooled in the summer so the building is not air conditioned. All our work is done without the use of film, so there’s no consumables, waste or shipping of film.
