Cylburn Arboretum

The Cylburn Arboretum serves the general population, people and children of all ages. It is a 207 acre public garden and nature preserve with nearly 3 miles of trails winding through this mature piedmont forest as well as outstanding display gardens. The Nature Museum displays migratory and native birds. The Cylburn Arboretum Association (www.cylburnassociation.org) offers programming on the grounds including storyhour for toddlers, a jazz series for those afficiandos and a chamber music series. Market Day is one of our largest events each year offering several varieties of plants mostly grown in the green houses by Baltimore CIty’s Horticulture Division. It’s a great day to come out for a visit. Mark your calendars for the Saturday before Mother’s Day!

The Highlandtown Healthy Living Center is the first community health center in the country to be awarded LEED Platinum, the US Green Building Council’s highest level of award. Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families is working to protect public health and the environment by reforming broken legislation on toxic chemicals.
