Enoch Pratt Free Library, Central Branch
400 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD

Justin Martin, former staff writer for Fortune magazine and the author of Greenspan: The Man Behind Money and Nader: Crusader, Spoiler, Icon joins Baltimore Green Works’ Sustainable Speaker Series to discuss Frederick Law Olmsted in Martin’s new book, Genius of Place: The Life of Frederick Law Olmsted.  While Olmsted is best remembered for his landscape architecture, from New York’s Central Park to Stanford University’s campus, he was also a Civil War hero, a fervent abolitionist, a social reformer, and an early voice for the environment.

Presented in partnership with Friends of Maryland’s Olmsted Parks & Landscapes and the Enoch Pratt Free Library.

The Sustainable Speaker Series events are offered free and open to the public
thanks to our generous sponsors and friends.
