Noon-6 p.m. at Druid Hill Park

Baltimore Green Week’s kick off event, EcoFest, invites local food vendors, growers, businesses and organizations that maintain a sustainable focus.  There will be plenty of activities happening so use this opportunity to try something new like yoga, take a bike ride around the reservoir, dance or sing along to June Star and the Frontier Dentists or take a moment to enjoy a back massage.  There will also be tours of the new Highlandtown Healthy Living Center from 1-4 p.m.

Celebrate the health of your city and your friends a EcoFest on April 17th!

  • Directions: 83 North/South to Exit 7 towards Druid Park Lake Drive, 1st Right into the Park on Swann Drive.

  • Parks & People hosts Kids in Nature: Build a bamboo hut, become a butterfly and use the water chute!  Ages 4 and up
  • Take a yoga class (kids and adults), it’s free!  All Day.
  • Bike Rides Around the Reservoir: The fenders are shined and the tires pumped, borrow a bike and take a ride out to the Moorish Tower!
  • Baltimore Honey comes to EcoFest!: CSA for honey?  Come find out how bees in Baltimore help us and don’t forget to test your taste buds with this local sweet treat while you’re there!
  • Are you a worm wrangler?  Check out the vermaculture demonstrations and learn how you too can become a worm cowboy!
  • Become an artist!  Free art projects will be happening throughout the day so throw on your smock and join us as we transform old bottles and socks into works of art!
