Projects in the Park celebrates 350.org Day!
In support of our local communities and Baltimore City’s Department of Recreation and Parks, Baltimore Green Works is proud to coordinate park service projects bringing together volunteers and community members to plant trees and remove trash, debris and invasive plants. Last year, we were able to remove 2 tons of trash and invasive plants from Fort Armistead Park! Join us in celebrating 350.org day as we work to stabilize climate change on a local level! Sustainable Speaker Series: Connecting and Protecting Our Food and Water as Resources
Ed Kee, Delaware’s Secretary of Agriculture and lima bean expert, talks about the history of the canning industry along the shorelines of the Chesapeake Bay. Afterwards, break-off into smaller groups to discuss topics such as schoolyard gardening, sustainable fishing, and the living SOLEfully challenge with local leaders. This event is presented in partnership by Baltimore Green Works and the Baltimore Museum of Industry and sponsored by Lorenz, Inc., Living Classrooms Foundation and Urbanite Magazine.

Baltimore Green Works will host their 1st Annual Art Auction Fundraiser.
Mark your calendars for a mid-week break of fun, food and fabulous art works by some of our favorite local artists. Everything from paintings and prints to sculpture, pottery, jewelry and clothes will be on display and available for bidding. Take this opportunity to treat yourself or start your holiday shopping early.
All proceeds will support Baltimore Green Works’ programming. Our environmental awareness and best sustainable practice workshops and lectures are free and open to the public.
