6th Annual Baltimore Green Week

Baltimore Green Week runs from Saturday to Saturday, April 18th-25th, 2009.

In 2004, Baltimore Green Works began hosting Baltimore Green Week, a series of environmentally themed events aimed to educate the community on different aspects of environmental sustainability and practice.  The first events drew nearly 500 attendees throughout the week. Since then, Baltimore Green Works has built on that success with a draw of over 250 vendors, exhibitors, artists, musicians and speakers in addition to our 5000+ participants throughout the week in 2008!

Each year, as we reach out to more of our local community, we are able to connect Maryland’s residents and business organizations with sustainable options and opportunity for the products, services and education available.

As we grow, we look forward to the participation and feedback from each of you.  Please contact us with ideas and feedback on what you want to see happen to help Maryland businesses and residents in the effort to “go green!”

Green Drinks

Green Drinks has come to Baltimore!

Every month people who work in the environmental field meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks.

We have a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government and business. Everyone is welcome! It’s a great way of catching up with people you know and for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organizing network.

These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity. It’s a force for the good and we’d like to help it spread to other cities. For more information, go to www.greendrinks.org

Location: Little Havana, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Dates: Thursday, July 23rd and Thursday, August 27th
