Be a part of the Global Work Party!

Who?

YOU!  We need your help.  If you’d like to volunteer, contact us.

When & Where?

10/10/10, 10-3 p.m. at the Parkie Pavilion in Druid Hill Park

What?

Join us on Sunday, October 10th from 10-1 p.m. for a chance to roll up your sleeves, plant a few trees and take part in the 350.org Global Work Party.  Afterwards, there will be a celebration at the Parkie Pavilion from 1-3 p.m. featuring delicious food, the musical stylings of Midway Fair, a FREE tree giveaway and compost tea for the taking.  Be a part of the conversation as local leaders rally for change here in Baltimore City.  Capture it all at 2 p.m. as we take a commemorative photo to be posted on the 350.org photo gallery http://www.350.org/350-action-gallery

Why?

In celebration of 350.org day, the 10/10/10 Global Work Party campaign is about showcasing climate solutions, gathering neighbors together, and celebrating communities.  Cities in nearly every country are participating in 10/10/10, working towards a 10% reduction in carbon emissions in 2010.  Last year, over 180 countries participated in what CNN called, “the most widespread day of political action ever.”
