The MDA’s annual Buyer-Grower Meeting will be held on January 21, 2010 and is designed for Maryland growers, producers, and processors interested in selling their products to buyers from grocery stores, restaurants, hospitals, schools and more. The meeting is set up in a trade show style, where producers are each provided a table to display their business information and products. Maryland’s Parks: One of Maryland’s Better Ideas

This 1000 Friends of Maryland event will be an opportunity for all of us to hear from people who know parks, and will discuss the value they bring to our state.   State Senator Thomas M. Middleton will open the discussion on the importance of parks in Maryland. In the panel discussions, we will address the impact parks have on healthy lifestyles, community sustainability, and the different roles of national, state, and local parks. We will also cover the recommendations from the 2009 Land Preservation Parks and Recreation Plan.

There is no cost to attend, but we ask that you please RSVP by January 18th to Vhustead@atlanticbb.net.
