RALLY FOR CLEAN ENERGY!
Tuesday, December 1, 2009
1 p.m., Dowtown Baltimore at Preston Gardens (corner of St. Paul and Saratoga Streets)
MARYLAND’S DIRTY ENERGY SECRET:
STOP NEW “COAL SUPER-HIGHWAYS” FROM BEING BUILT IN MARYLAND
We’re urging Governor O’Malley to oppose new ultra high-voltage power lines built across hundreds of miles in MD (cutting a 200-foot wide swath) to bring dirty coal – electricity to MD that we don’t need!
Rally at Preston Gardens Park (Corner of St. Paul & Saratoga, across from Mercy Hospital), downtown Baltimore
These climate-busting coal conduits will undermine Maryland’s recent progress toward clean energy. MD just enacted the strongest state law for greenhouse gas reduction, which will be undermined by the race to import dirty coal-generated electricity.
